Coach Scaloni bids emotional farewell to 'irreplaceable' Messi

Argentina's national football team head coach Lionel Scaloni has described the day as an emotional one. The reason is Lionel Messi's decision to end his career with the national side.

In his farewell words, Scaloni stressed that Messi is irreplaceable. The assessment came as the team's captain closes his time playing in Argentina's colours.

Al Jazeera has published a short video report on the event, which includes the coach's comments on Messi's departure from the national team.

The source gives no further details at this stage, such as the time and place of any farewell match or the team's plans going forward.
