Latvian hockey player Oskars Lapinskis out for the rest of the season
Latvia national team forward Oskars Lapinskis has suffered an elbow injury and has already undergone surgery. His Swiss league club Langnau Tigers say he will not return to the ice this season.

Latvian national team forward Oskars Lapinskis has had his season cut short, according to his Swiss National League club, the SCL Tigers of Langnau.
The club said the player has sustained an elbow injury and has already had an operation, but he will not be able to play again this season.
The injury appears to have occurred in Saturday's game, in which the Tigers beat Kloten 6-2 at home. Lapinskis spent only 45 seconds on the ice.
Season so far
The 24-year-old forward has appeared in nine games in the Swiss championship this season. He is playing his sixth consecutive season with the Langnau club.
Last season Lapinskis collected eight points in the Swiss league. Last spring he represented Latvia at the World Championship, making his debut at the tournament and going pointless in eight games.
After nine games, the Tigers sit third in the standings with 15 points.
