WiiM's HomePod-style smart speaker gets a nearly $50 discount
WiiM is discounting its Sound and Sound Lite smart speakers, positioning them as an alternative to offerings from major tech companies. Both models are 15 percent off through the manufacturer and Amazon.

The smart speaker market is largely dominated by major tech companies such as Apple, Google, Sonos and Amazon. WiiM offers an alternative with its 100-watt Sound speaker, which isn't locked into a single music service and supports more than 20 streaming platforms.
The speaker includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and ethernet connectivity, and it's compatible with standards including Chromecast, Spotify Connect, DLNA and Alexa Cast. This makes it possible to add the speaker to existing multi-room audio setups within the Google Home or Amazon Echo ecosystems. AirPlay 2 support is not included, though it is available on the company's separate Pro Music Streamer device.
Discount on black and white models
The black and white versions of the Sound speaker, normally priced at $299.99, are currently available for $254.15 through both Amazon and WiiM directly — a 15 percent discount that is rarely offered on these colors.
Cheaper Sound Lite option
The simpler Sound Lite model is also discounted, dropping from its original $229 price to $194.65. It shares the same dimensions, connectivity and power output as the standard Sound, along with the ability to use AI to adjust audio quality to a room's acoustics. However, it lacks the 1.8-inch touch display and does not include a voice remote, which can be purchased separately for around $33. Multiple WiiM speakers can be wirelessly paired together to create a surround sound setup.
