Ukraine's General Staff: 117 Clashes on the Front in a Day, Most Attacks in the Pokrovsk Sector

Ukraine's General Staff of the Armed Forces said on 24 October that 117 combat clashes had taken place along the front of the Russia–Ukraine war since the start of the day. Russian troops were most active in the Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.

Northern sectors

In the North Sloboda and Kursk sectors, Russian forces carried out two air strikes, used six guided aerial bombs and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 42 times.

In the South Sloboda sector, the enemy attacked eight times towards Ternova, Okhrimivka and Bochkove; two of those assaults are still ongoing. In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces tried three times to improve their positions, advancing towards Radkivka. Five attempts to push forward were repelled in the Lyman sector, near Zarichne and towards Stavky and Dibrova. In the Sloviansk sector, Ukraine's Defence Forces stopped three advance attempts near Kryva Luka. No assaults took place in the Kramatorsk sector.

Donbas sectors

In the Kostiantynivka sector, 11 enemy assaults were repelled near Kostiantynivka, and two more are continuing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces made 14 attacks near Sofiivka, Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Vasylivka, Krasnopillia, Serhiivka and Molodetske. According to preliminary estimates, 28 occupiers were killed and 8 wounded there. Five vehicles and two special-purpose items were destroyed. One vehicle, one artillery system, one special-purpose item, two drone control points and 47 enemy shelters were damaged. A total of 146 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

Southern sectors

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy made one attack towards Zaporizke. In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled nine attacks near Dobropillia and towards Verkhnia Tersa, Kopani, Huliaipilske and Yehorivka. In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops made one attempt to improve their position, attacking towards Novoiakovlivka. No assaults took place in the Prydniprovia sector. No significant changes in the situation were reported in other sectors.
