Residents and institutions in the city of Smiltene will see no change in the price of centralized heating during the upcoming 2026/2027 heating season. This was confirmed by Kārlis Lejnieks, a board member of SIA "CS Smiltene", in comments to the publication "Ziemeļlatvija".

Tariff remains the same

The set final tariff for heat energy is 87.07 euros per megawatt-hour, excluding value-added tax. This figure is identical to the tariff applied during the previous heating season, meaning no price increase is expected in this segment.

Who provides the supply

As in previous years, the company SIA "CS Smiltene" will continue to handle the transmission, delivery, and sale of centralized heat energy to residents and institutions in the city of Smiltene. The company's role in the heating supply chain remains unchanged, covering both the transport of the energy resource and its delivery to end users.

The news of a stable tariff will be relevant for households and institutions in Smiltene as they plan expenses for the coming heating season, since it means heating-related costs will not rise compared to the previous period.
