According to preliminary data published by Latvia's Central Election Commission, with about 80% of votes counted in the 15th Saeima election, the Unity List (Apvienotais saraksts) has taken a decisive lead with 35.55% of the vote. Only six parties or party alliances currently remain in contention for seats in parliament.

The Greens and Farmers' Union has not cleared the 5% threshold required to enter parliament, currently sitting at 4.88% of the vote — placing it right on the edge of exclusion.

Second and third place

Trailing the leader is Latvia First with 13.39% of the vote, followed by the Sovereign Power/Union of Young Latvians alliance with 11.57%. The National Alliance has gathered 9.14% of votes so far, followed by the Progressives with 6.83% and New Unity with 6.01%.

Projected seat distribution

With the Greens and Farmers' Union currently outside the group of parties likely to enter parliament, the projected seat counts for the remaining parties have risen. Based on current calculations, the Unity List could secure 41 seats, Latvia First 17, Sovereign Power/Union of Young Latvians 15, the National Alliance 11, the Progressives nine, and New Unity seven seats.

Other parties lag behind

None of the remaining parties that ran in the election have yet reached the required 5% support. We Change the Rules currently has 3.51% of the vote, Development for Latvia 2.13%, For Stability! 2.07%, Rising Sun for Latvia 1.36%, Gobzems' List 1%, Harmony Centre 0.87%, and the New Conservative Party 0.34%.

Vote counting is ongoing, so final results and the distribution of seats may still change.
