Estonian figure skater Mihhail Selevko has finished third in the men's singles event at an ISU Challenger series international competition held in Batumi, Georgia.
After the short program, Selevko was sitting in second place, but he performed worse in the free skate, landing only one of three planned quadruple jumps. His free skate score of 139.87 points was roughly 30 points lower than the result he posted a couple of weeks earlier in Bergamo, where he set a personal best in the free program.
Finishing fifth in the free skate, the Estonian skater held on to third place overall with a combined total of 227.74 points from the short and free programs.
The competition was won by Georgian skater and reigning European champion Nika Egadze, who scored 262.65 points. Second place went to Nikolai Ugozhaev, competing under neutral status, with 236.41 points.
Also competing in Batumi is Estonian figure skater Niina Petrokina, who leads the standings after the short program.
