Peter Thiel’s Husband Sues Flight Attendant Who Claims He Assaulted Her on Private Jet
Matthew Danzeisen, husband of billionaire Peter Thiel, has filed a preemptive lawsuit against flight attendant Stefanie Bojar, who alleges he assaulted her during a July 2024 flight. Bojar countersued, claiming battery and negligence.

A federal lawsuit has emerged from an incident aboard a private jet used by Peter Thiel and his family on July 13, 2024. Stefanie Bojar, a flight attendant employed by Solairus Aviation who had worked over 200 flights for Thiel and his husband Matthew Danzeisen, alleges that Danzeisen shoved her and threw heavy cooler bags at her, causing her to collapse and injure her ankle and knee. Danzeisen claims he was simply clearing the bathroom for his child and that a bag may have accidentally brushed her leg.
In May, Danzeisen preemptively sued Bojar in the Central District of California, accusing her of extortion and violating a confidentiality agreement. Bojar filed a counterclaim on Tuesday, denying the allegations and adding Thiel Capital as a defendant, alleging battery, assault, emotional distress, and negligent supervision. She claims Thiel Capital personnel knew or should have known about Danzeisen's alleged behavior.
Both filings describe a severe storage issue on the plane: the rear bathroom was blocked by luggage, and the front bathroom was used for cooler bags and kitchen equipment. Bojar says Danzeisen became angry when he couldn't access a restroom immediately and then assaulted her. The counterclaim states that an MRI later revealed a torn tendon in her ankle requiring surgery.
Danzeisen's attorney, Alex Spiro, called the case a "shakedown," while Bojar's attorney Elliott Jung described Danzeisen's lawsuit as a "bullying tactic." The legal dispute also involves questions about workers' compensation and whether a confidentiality agreement bars Bojar from suing.
