Six karting racers to represent Latvia at November's Grand Finals in Portugal
Latvia's karting season finale determined which drivers earned tickets to the international 'Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals' event in Portugal, with six athletes set to compete across different classes in November.
At the final round of Latvia's karting championship, organizers crowned not only stage winners and season champions but also selected the athletes who will travel to Portugal in November for the international 'Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals' event.
Representatives by class
Six racers secured their spots for the grand final. In the MINI class, Latvia will be represented by Martins Lapiņš, while Džeks Kolisons earned his ticket in the Junior category. In the Senior class, the country's colors will be defended by Toms Strēle.
In the DD2 class, two drivers will head to Portugal — Edgars Vilcāns and Romāns Rodionovs — while Ričards Kalnciems will represent Latvia in the DD2 Master category.
Thanks to the athletes
The Latvian Automobile Federation, together with the LAF Karting Commission, thanked all season participants for an exciting competition and wished the Latvian representatives success in the upcoming event. The 'Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals' will take place in Portugal in November and ranks among the most significant international karting events, drawing drivers from countries around the world.
