A knitting metaphor at the play's core
The production relies on a distinctive imagery device: the actors become stitches in a piece of knitting. Just as in knitting, elements within the performance can be lifted, altered, or unraveled, creating a metaphorical exploration of life's and human relationships' structure.
Secrecy by design
Director Renāte Kērda has deliberately chosen not to reveal the play's content in advance. Even members of the press were shown only the first 25 minutes of the production. This approach was explained as a way of preserving the element of surprise for audiences who have yet to see the show.
The production adds an international directorial perspective to Liepāja Theatre's repertoire, bringing Estonian theatrical experience to the Latvian stage.
