Russian attacks cut power in six Ukrainian regions
New power outages hit six Ukrainian oblasts on the morning of October 5 following Russian attacks, though grid operator Ukrenergo says repair crews are already at work and no consumption limits are expected today.

Ukraine's state power transmission operator Ukrenergo reported on the morning of October 5 that fresh electricity outages have affected Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Odesa and Kherson oblasts as a result of Russian strikes.
The company said emergency repair teams have already begun work in areas where the security situation allows it. Power engineers are fixing damaged equipment and restoring supply to affected consumers.
No restrictions planned
Ukrenergo does not expect any electricity consumption restrictions on October 5. However, the operator cautioned that further Russian attacks could change the situation in specific areas, and urged residents to follow updates from their local distribution network operators.
Advice for households
The company recommended that consumers shift use of high-power appliances to the 10:00–16:00 window, when industrial solar plants operate most efficiently. During evening hours, from 17:00 to 22:00, people were asked to avoid running several high-power appliances at once to ease strain on equipment damaged by the attacks.
Background
Since the evening of October 4, Russian forces have launched 205 drones of various types at Ukraine. Air defence units shot down 172 of them, though some strikes still hit their targets.
