Wired Rounds Up 18 Gift Ideas for Lego Fans
The editors of tech magazine Wired have compiled a gift guide for Lego fans, covering sets, a video game, accessories and holiday decorations. The guide was updated in October 2026.

The US technology magazine Wired published a gift guide on 10 October 2026 for people who love Lego building bricks. It lists 18 gift ideas that the writers say they tested themselves. The guide is written by Adrienne So and Simon Hill, and it is aimed at shoppers who want something beyond a standard set ahead of the holidays.
Sets and games
One suggestion is the Lego Speed Champions line, including Formula 1 cars, which the author says work as toys once built. Another is the Star Wars Smart Play set "Throne Room Duel and A-Wing", where Smart Bricks add lightsaber sounds, lasers, explosions and "The Imperial March". The bricks also light up, but they must be charged.
Reviewer Simon Hill praises the video game "Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight" and describes it as well suited to split-screen couch co-op. The Lego Ideas Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse set is based on a fan creation, and in the writer's view it is more of a display piece than a toy.
Decor and small extras
For the holiday table, the guide suggests the Lego Botanicals bouquet of pink roses, and for the tree, snowman ornaments. It also includes the Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026, with a minifigure or small build behind each door.
Other picks include a brick-shaped notepad, playing cards, a puzzle made of four smaller puzzles, a ceramic Lego head mug holding about 17 ounces, and a locking notebook with a matching pen. The list also features the book "The Big Book of Amazing Lego Creations With Bricks You Already Have" and a light kit from third-party maker Light My Bricks for the Lego Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D set, which the writer calls pricey but well made.
