Vēveris best among Latvians at European U23 trap shooting championship

At the European U23 championship in trap shooting held in Poland, Niklāvs Vēveris posted the best result among Latvian men, finishing 28th, while Latvia's team placed 10th out of 11 nations.

The European U23 championship in trap shooting is currently taking place in Poland, with Latvian athletes competing in the men's event. The best result among the Latvian team came from Niklāvs Vēveris, who hit 103 out of 125 targets across five qualification series, with series scores of 21, 18, 20, 22 and 22. This result placed him 28th among 40 competitors.

The second-best Latvian result came from Mārtiņš Freimanis, who hit 99 targets (21, 20, 19, 18, 21) and finished 34th. Kārlis Jurgenovskis also hit 99 targets, with series results of 22, 20, 21, 21 and 15, placing him 35th.

Team standings

Combining the results of all three Latvian shooters, the national team hit a total of 301 targets, earning 10th place among 11 national teams. The championship title went to Croatia's team with 347 hits, Slovakia took second place with 341, and Cyprus finished third with 340.
