Ukraine's counteroffensive in Donetsk region gains momentum: five settlements liberated, 250 Russian troops captured
Ukrainian forces are advancing in a counteroffensive operation near the city of Lyman in Donetsk region, liberating five settlements and capturing 250 Russian soldiers.

Brigadier General Andriy Biletskyi, commander of Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps, announced on Monday new progress in a counteroffensive operation taking place in the Lyman area of Donetsk region.
Course of the operation
According to the commander, Ukrainian forces have liberated five settlements in the area during the operation. At the same time, combat actions resulted in the capture of 250 Russian army soldiers.
Biletskyi referred to the operation by the name "Vivaldi". The area around the city of Lyman has long been one of the most active combat zones in Donetsk region, with both sides regularly fighting for control of the territory.
The official statement indicates that Ukraine's counteroffensive actions in this sector of the front have recently gained momentum, allowing Ukrainian forces to achieve territorial gains and take a significant number of prisoners.
