The Ukrainian military has significantly intensified strikes on infrastructure, energy, and military targets in and around occupied Crimea. According to independent military analyst Klements Molins, these actions indicate a deliberate effort to isolate Russia's annexed peninsula.
Molins points to successful Ukrainian strikes on several bridges connecting Crimea to the occupied part of Kherson region as evidence of the blockade's onset. So far, Ukraine has damaged six of the bridges that link the peninsula to mainland Ukraine.
Russian forces in and near Crimea lack sufficient air defense systems to protect key assets from Ukrainian strikes. As a result, Ukraine's air campaign continues to escalate, causing increasing logistical problems for Russian supply lines.
