Fire in Jelgava Area Leaves Family with Children Homeless

A fire broke out in the Jelgava area overnight, leaving a family of four homeless. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. while all family members were asleep. The mother woke up to a strong smell and saw the veranda engulfed in flames. She immediately woke her husband and their two children, aged six and eight.

The mother told the children to get dressed and jump out of the window, and she and her husband followed. After escaping, they called emergency services at 112 and waited for help. Relatives and neighbors came to the family's aid, offering practical support. The family now faces uncertainty about where to live.
