Shengelia becomes Bertans' teammate at Dubai
Tornike Shengelia has left Barcelona and joined Dubai, where Dairis Bertans plays, after buying out his contract with Barcelona.

Tornike Shengelia will now play alongside Latvian guard Dairis Bertans. The 34-year-old Georgian forward has left Barcelona, where he had two more years on his contract. The club confirmed that Shengelia activated a player option and bought out his deal for nearly one million euros.
Last season Shengelia appeared in 78 games for Barcelona. In the Spanish league, he averaged 11.2 points and 4 rebounds over 40 matches. In the EuroLeague, he averaged 12.4 points and 4.6 rebounds across 34 games.
Before joining Barcelona, Shengelia spent four seasons with Virtus Bologna, two with CSKA Moscow, and six with Baskonia. He also played two NBA seasons for the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls.
Shengelia is a two-time EuroLeague champion and has won league titles in Spain and Italy.
His new club, Dubai, finished 11th in the EuroLeague regular season last year, missing the playoffs, but won the ABA League title.
