Seven artworks at the Zuzeum art museum in Riga can now be experienced not only by sight but also by touch. The opportunity was secured by the mother of a nine-year-old boy.
The project became known shortly after International White Cane Day, which is marked on 15 October. The day is intended to draw attention to the independence, rights and equal opportunities of people with visual impairments.
The tactile approach allows people with impaired vision to engage with art as well. For now, the number of works available in this way at the museum is seven.
