Estonian Historians' «History of Livonia» Published in Latvian
Publisher Jānis Roze has released «Livonijas vēsture» in Latvian, a joint work by Estonian medieval scholars on the history of the territory of Latvia and Estonia. The book has already drawn strong reader interest.

A history book titled «Livonijas vēsture» (History of Livonia) has been published in Latvian by the publishing house Jānis Roze. It is a collaborative work by internationally recognised Estonian medieval researchers, covering the history of the territory of Latvia and Estonia. The edition adds to the range of history literature available in Latvian.
The translation was made on the initiative of the book's scientific editor, Gustavs Strenga. The work deals with the lands that today make up Latvia and Estonia, and its authors are Estonian historians who specialise in the medieval period.
Since its release, the book has attracted considerable interest from readers in bookshops. This was also felt at the launch event at the Latvian National History Museum, where the hall was full.
