Mercedes-Benz holds 4x4 experience day in Riga showcasing off-road commercial vehicles
A Mercedes-Benz 4x4 experience day took place at Raceway Baltic in Riga, letting customers test vans, G-Class models and Unimog trucks. The event was organized by VEHO OY together with local vehicle conversion companies.
Mercedes-Benz held a 4x4 experience day at the Raceway Baltic track near Riga, giving visitors the chance to view and test-drive the brand's off-road capable vehicles. The event was organized by VEHO OY, which represents Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in five countries — all three Baltic states, Sweden, and Finland.
Mikko Nurmi, sales manager for special vehicles at VEHO OY, said the Riga event has become a regular tradition. This year's focus was on the van lineup, the G-Class, and several Unimog trucks.
Conversion partners on display
Alongside factory-standard vehicles, the event featured conversions made by local companies. SIA Universāls, one of the longest-operating van conversion businesses in Latvia, said Mercedes-Benz now accounts for around 90% of its work, according to sales director Māris Žukovskis, even though the company originally worked with a wider range of vehicle brands.
SIA Pharma Mobil, which transports pharmaceuticals under strict requirements, currently operates a fleet of five Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans. Company head Sandijs Hāns pointed to the manufacturer's consistent service quality as a key reason for choosing the brand.
Nurmi added that Mercedes-Benz's advantage lies in its broad vehicle range across weight categories and its long track record of delivering complex, customized solutions for buyers.
