Prince Harry and Elton John lose privacy case against Daily Mail publisher
In a high-profile case, Prince Harry, Elton John, and other celebrities accused Daily Mail publisher of unlawful information gathering, but the judge dismissed the claim, ruling the evidence was not sufficiently convincing.

A high-profile privacy case brought by Prince Harry, Elton John, and several other celebrities against the Daily Mail's publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL), has been dismissed by Judge Matthew Nicklin. ANL denied all allegations and argued that the claims were submitted too late. The judge acknowledged the seriousness of the accusations but stated in his summary that the evidence was not sufficiently convincing.
Following the verdict, ANL's editor-in-chief Paul Dacre described the court's decision as a 'victory for Associated's magnificent journalists' and for free press. Other celebrities involved in the case included singer Elton John and his husband, House of Lords member Doreen Lawrence, former politician Simon Hughes, and actresses Sadie Frost and Elizabeth Hurley.
