Portugal edge past Norway on late Ramos goal in Nations League
Portugal beat Norway 2:1 at home in the UEFA Nations League, securing a fourth win in four matches and a comfortable lead in their group. Two spectacular long-range strikes preceded a late winner from Gonçalo Ramos in the 79th minute.

Portugal's national team defeated Norway 2:1 on home soil, mirroring the exact scoreline from the reverse fixture a week earlier. The win gave Portugal a perfect four wins from four Nations League matches, cementing their position atop their group.
Norway struck first through defender Kristoffer Ajer, who produced an unexpected moment of brilliance in the 36th minute, volleying a ball from outside the penalty area into the far corner to make it 1:0. The goal was especially notable given Ajer's scoring record — across the past three years combined for both club and country, he had managed only a single goal before this one.
Portugal's response came quickly. Just two minutes later, João Cancelo leveled the score with an equally impressive effort, striking a dropping ball from around 17 meters with power to make it 1:1.
The decisive moment arrived in the second half. In the 79th minute, Vitinha delivered the ball into the penalty area, João Félix laid it across the goal, and AC Milan forward Gonçalo Ramos finished to secure a 2:1 victory for the hosts.
Elsewhere in the competition, the Netherlands took the lead in their own group by beating Serbia 2:1 at home, overtaking Greece, who had been held to a goalless draw at home by Germany. That result meant Jürgen Klopp's Germany side has won just one of its four matches so far.
Denmark recorded a second win over Wales, this time 1:0 away from home, with Rasmus Højlund converting a penalty for the only goal. During this autumn's international window, Højlund has scored in three of his team's four matches — against Wales, Portugal and Norway — missing out only in a 2:0 home win over Wales.
