Police are investigating alleged racial abuse of Swansea City's Eom during a Championship match against Millwall. The game was halted in the second half, and Swansea won 1-0.

Police are investigating an alleged incident of racial abuse directed at Swansea City player Eom during an English Championship match, the country's second-tier league, against Millwall. The game was halted in the second half. Eom was among the Swansea substitutes warming up beside the pitch when play was stopped.
The match
Swansea, the Championship leaders, won 1-0 thanks to a late strike from Ronald. The result kept the Welsh club two points clear at the top of the table. It is also their best start to a season in a century.
Reaction
Matos, speaking for Swansea, said the referee followed the correct protocol and that Millwall also acted properly in helping to move it along. He said there is no space for such behaviour and that the club stands with its player. Matos said he was saddened by the abuse, adding that the squad will support Eom and follow the situation for as long as they can.
Millwall said it was aware of an alleged individual incident of discriminatory abuse towards a Swansea player and was supporting the police investigation. The club said it has a zero-tolerance policy on discriminatory abuse and that anyone found responsible would face the strongest possible action.
Millwall manager Alex Neil told BBC Radio London that the matter must be dealt with, but he questioned the length of the stoppage. He said the game was stopped for 15 minutes, which he argued deals with nothing and only kills the momentum. He left the incident itself to the authorities.
