Weather set to shift sharply on Monday with heavy rain and thunderstorms

Overnight
Overnight into Monday, cloud cover will be variable, with brief rain expected in places, mainly in the northern part of the country. Winds will blow slowly to moderately from the west, while fog may form in parts of Kurzeme. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between +11 and +17 degrees.
In Riga, clouds will also pass through overnight, with a chance of brief rain. Winds will be slow to moderate from the southwest and west, and temperatures in the capital will fall to between +14 and +16 degrees.
During the day
During the day, westerly winds will continue at a slow to moderate pace, though sharp gusts of up to 15 meters per second are expected in areas experiencing thunderstorms. Daytime highs will not exceed +18 to +22 degrees.
In Riga, skies will gradually cloud over, with rain possible from midday onward and a thunderstorm not ruled out in the afternoon. Winds in the capital will remain slow to moderate from the west, while temperatures will warm up to +20 to +21 degrees.
