The international food and innovation fair "SIAL Paris 2026" opened on 17 October at the "Nord Villepinte" exhibition centre near Paris and runs until Wednesday, 21 October. According to the Agricultural Resources and Economics Institute (AREI), 63 Latvian companies are taking part. The fair gives Latvian food producers a chance to present their products to international industry professionals.

Latvian stands

The combined area of the Latvian producers' stands is nearly 700 square metres, with eight joint stands built in total. Six national joint stands covering 520.5 square metres represent 48 Latvian food producers, and some participants are present in several halls. The joint stands are organised by AREI in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture.

Innovation certificates

Latvian companies also entered the fair's innovation competition, where an independent jury of experts selects and rewards the most modern and innovative food products. Companies that passed the selection received a "SIAL Innovation" certificate:

  • SIA "Baltic Seaberry" – for the sea buckthorn immunity product "Seaberry Immunity";
  • SIA "Nākotne" – for beef snack sticks "Beef Sticks";
  • SIA "Abhaja" – for a plant-based chia seed "caviar";
