National Opera Opens Festival with New 'La Bohème' and Estonian Conductor
Despite ongoing renovations, the Latvian National Opera and Ballet has started its annual opera festival with a new production of Puccini's 'La Bohème', conducted by Arvo Volmer, artistic director of the Estonian National Opera.

Festival During Renovations
Renovation work at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet is not yet fully complete, but that has not prevented the institution from holding its annual opera festival, which began in early June.
New Production with International Flavor
The festival opened with a new staging of Giacomo Puccini's opera 'La Bohème'. At the conductor's podium was Arvo Volmer, artistic director of the Estonian National Opera. This is one of the most notable classical music performances, offering festival-goers the chance to enjoy high-quality opera art.
Continuation
The festival continues with several more productions, even though the opera house renovations are not yet entirely finished.
