Meta Launches New AI Glasses Lineup with Kylie Jenner Edition
Meta unveiled three new AI glasses models, including the Starfire designed with Kylie Jenner, priced at $399.
Meta has announced three new AI glasses models: Fury, Adventurer, and Starfire, the latter co-designed with celebrity Kylie Jenner. The Fury and Adventurer start at $299, while the Starfire costs $399.
Built on the same hardware platform as previous models, the new glasses offer expanded style options with 26 total combinations. They feature a three-way adjustable nose pad, over-extension hinges, and user-adjustable temple tips.
Software updates include the Meta AI assistant with the Muse Spark AI update, support for 14 new languages for live translation (total 20), a "dynamic photos" feature that captures multiple shots and selects the best, and pedestrian navigation.
The Starfire model has unique features: a metal nose bridge for easier makeup removal, a gem on the right lens reminiscent of paparazzi flashes, and the option to use Jenner's voice for the AI assistant.
During hands-on testing, the glasses were comfortable to wear, and AI translation performed accurately. The Starfire unit's battery dropped from 96% to 66% in about an hour, though real-world testing is needed.
The new glasses are $100-$200 cheaper than the Ray-Ban Meta models. Meta aims to appeal to a wider audience with this lineup.
