Explosion at former "DNR" minister's home in Moscow marks third assassination attempt in a week
An explosion occurred at the Moscow home of Andrei Pinchuk, former so-called minister of state security of the "DNR", after a courier delivered a package. Pinchuk was unharmed as he hid behind armored doors. This is the third attempt this week targeting individuals linked to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

According to Russian media, the blast shattered windows and doors in the building. Pinchuk's background includes working for the security ministry of unrecognized Transnistria in the early 2000s, then fighting in Donbas on the side of pro-Russian separatists. In March 2014, he participated in the annexation of Crimea, facilitating the transfer of Ukrainian special services to Russian jurisdiction and preparing the so-called referendum. He served as "DNR" state security minister in 2014-2015. In 2022, he commanded the "Center" unit during the battles for Izium, and from 2023-2025 was commander of "BARS-13" in Bakhmut. Previous attempts: On June 9, senior officer Damir Davydov was killed in the Moscow region, and a car was targeted near a Rostech facility in Moscow. Russia's Investigative Committee said it prevented an attempt to kill an employee of a research and production enterprise and detained two minors.
