MacIntyre surges into contention at Alfred Dunhill Links
Defending champion Robert MacIntyre fired a second-round 65 at Kingsbarns to move into the top ten at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, three shots behind halfway leader Casey Jarvis of South Africa.

Scotland's Robert MacIntyre took advantage of calm conditions at Kingsbarns, carding seven under par in round two to climb into a share of ninth place overall, three strokes off the pace.
South African Casey Jarvis leads at the halfway stage, with England's Matthew Jordan matching MacIntyre's tally after six birdies and an eagle at Carnoustie to sit on 10 under for the tournament. Spain's Rocco Repetto Taylor joined them on the same mark after carding the day's best round, a 64 at Kingsbarns.
MacIntyre, who opened the tournament one under after his first round at Carnoustie, made four birdies on the front nine in round two. He described the conditions as fortunate, noting the wind only picked up on the final hole. A dropped shot at the 11th was followed by a run of gains over the next five holes, which he said motivated him heading into the weekend at St Andrews.
Michael Stewart, the surprise first-round leader, shot 71 at Kingsbarns to sit alongside his fellow Scot. MacIntyre praised Stewart's short game, saying few players in the world could match his chipping and putting, and hoped he could earn a fuller place on the DP World Tour.
American Brooks Koepka shot 67 to join the Scottish pair on eight under, while England's Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Fitzpatrick sit two shots further back from the five-time major champion.
Playing their first DP World Tour event in nearly four years, Lee Westwood reached four under with a 69 at Kingsbarns, while fellow LIV golfer Ian Poulter struggled to a 76 at Carnoustie to finish four over.
