Limbaži-raised artist to show work at Artists Runway exhibition in Riga
The Riga Furniture & Interior fair takes place at the Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre from 16 to 18 October, and artist Dārta Lote Bērziņa will show work there. It is her third time in its pop-up art show, Artists Runway.
The Riga Furniture & Interior fair, which focuses on furniture and interior design, will be held at the Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga from 16 to 18 October. It will also include Artists Runway, a pop-up (temporary) art exhibition. Artist Dārta Lote Bērziņa, who has ties to the Limbaži area, will take part for the third time.
Education and work
Bērziņa graduated from the Limbaži Music and Art School. She continued her professional training at the Jānis Rozentāls Art School and later at the Art Academy of Latvia, where she earned bachelor's and master's degrees in painting. She now works as a hobby-education teacher for children and continues to create her own art.
Motivation
The artist says she has always thought more broadly. While living in Limbaži, her highest goal was to reach Riga. Now that she lives in the capital, she wants to reach the rest of the world as well. Bērziņa stresses that she has her own story to tell.
She wants to give others what the works of other artists have given her: understanding, peace, friendship, inspiration and philosophical reflection.
