On June 15, Mayor Gunārs Ansiņš will meet with the Lithuanian Ambassador to Latvia Audrone Markevičiene, as well as with NATO and EU defense attachés. Meanwhile, from June 15 to 19, representatives of the Liepāja Special Economic Zone will attend the international transport exhibition “Breakbulk Europe 2026” in Rotterdam. From June 17 to 20, Ansiņš will travel to Assisi, Italy, to participate in a meeting of the European Committee of the Regions' ENVE commission.

From June 15 to 21, an exhibition of contemporary art titled “Mierā!” will be on display at Graudu Street 36/38, organized by the foundation “Liepāja 2027”. On June 16 and 17, donor days will take place at the Liepāja Olympic Centre, encouraging residents to donate blood. The cruise ship “Insignia” will also be welcomed at the port.

Sports events include the Tennis Europe competition from June 15 to 19, the Street Burgers stage on June 17, and the “Stirnubuks” trail running series returning to Liepāja on June 20 after a nine-year hiatus. On June 23, the Līgo celebration “LĪGO LIEPĀJĀ” will be held at Jūrmala Park with a special concert.

Street reconstruction continues on O. Kalpaka Street (until 2028) and Raiņa Street (until the end of summer). Asphalt work on Pīļu Street has been completed, while work on Debess, Pulkveža Brieža, and Tvaiku streets is ongoing. Residents are advised to follow traffic signs and plan alternate routes.
