Railway crossing in Lielvārde to be closed for several days for repairs
Repair work will restrict traffic over railway crossing No. 113 on Rembates Street in Lielvārde from 18 to 28 October. The crossing will first be fully closed, then open to vehicles in one lane only.

Road traffic over railway crossing No. 113 on Rembates Street in Lielvārde, Latvia, will be restricted for several days because of repair work. The state joint-stock company Latvijas dzelzceļš, which manages Latvia's railway infrastructure, announced the work. The restrictions are planned from 18 to 28 October and will affect local residents as well as drivers who use the crossing on their way to the A6 highway.
How traffic will change
From 4 p.m. on 18 October until noon on 24 October, the crossing will be fully closed to vehicles. On 26, 27 and 28 October, between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., it will be partly open, with traffic organised in a single lane.
Pedestrians and cyclists will not be restricted during the repairs. Latvijas dzelzceļš nevertheless asks them to stay alert and cross the tracks with care.
Detour options
For drivers who need to reach the A6 Rīga–Daugavpils highway, the company names two nearby crossings to use as detours: the Lēdmanes Street railway crossing in Lielvārde and the Ķegums railway crossing.
The source does not specify the arrangements at the crossing between noon on 24 October and 9 a.m. on 26 October, so drivers may wish to check up-to-date information before setting out.
