Latvia's U-18 women's basketball team played its first game of the placement round for 5th-8th place at the European Championship in Stockholm on Saturday, facing Poland's youth team.
The match ended in defeat for Latvia, who lost 56:67. This marked the second meeting between the two teams during the tournament, with Poland winning both encounters. As a result, Latvia's young players no longer have a chance to finish in the top half of the standings.
