Oil refinery on fire in Kuban after drone attack
An oil refinery in Slavyansk-na-Kubani, Russia, caught fire following a nighttime drone attack reportedly from Ukraine, confirmed by local authorities.

A fire broke out at the Slavyansk oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai after a drone attack during the night of June 28. The Russian Telegram channel Astra analyzed videos and confirmed that the blaze erupted at the Slavyansk refinery. The Krasnodar Krai operational headquarters stated that a fire occurred at the refinery due to falling drone debris, which also damaged a power line and shattered windows in a private house.
The Slavyansk oil refinery, operated by Slavyansk-EKO LLC, is one of Russia's largest, with a capacity of about 4-5 million tons of crude oil per year. It accounts for approximately 9% of the oil refining volume in the Southern Federal District and is a major exporter of petroleum products via Black Sea ports. The facility processes crude oil to produce gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, and other products.
This is not the first attack on the refinery. On May 19, a previous drone strike damaged at least one unit, and on April 27, the refinery was forced to suspend some operations following another drone attack.
