Russian Attack on Kyiv Region: Five Districts Hit, Damage Reported
Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv region overnight July 2 with drones, ballistic and cruise missiles. Damage was recorded in five districts, including fires and damaged homes.

On the night of July 2, Russian troops carried out a large-scale attack on the Kyiv region using attack drones, ballistic and cruise missiles. Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, stated that consequences had been recorded in five districts of the region.
In the Buchanskyi district, firefighters are extinguishing blazes at warehouse facilities and a private house, and a car was damaged. In the Brovarskyi district, six private houses, a dormitory building, and a car were damaged. In the Obukhivskyi and Fastivskyi districts, private houses sustained damage. In the Vyshhorodskyi district, a car was damaged.
Kalashnyk noted that all emergency services are working on-site, and information about the attack's aftermath is being clarified. The air raid alert is still ongoing, and residents are urged not to ignore warnings and to remain in safe places until the all-clear.
Earlier, on July 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia was preparing a new massive strike on Ukraine. Subsequently, it became known that the occupiers had struck Kyiv with drones and missiles.
