Explosions hit factory and oil refinery in Russia's Ulyanovsk and Perm
Explosions were reported overnight on September 25 in the Russian cities of Ulyanovsk and Perm, striking a military-linked plant and a major oil refinery, following a drone strike on occupied Luhansk the previous night.
Overnight on September 25, explosions were reported in two Russian cities, Ulyanovsk and Perm, damaging industrial facilities, according to eyewitnesses cited by the Ukrainian outlet "Pravda".
In Ulyanovsk, the target was the "Zavod Iskra" enterprise, part of Russia's "Almaz-Antey" concern, which is linked to weapons and air-defense system production. The plant is directly involved in import-substitution programs for Russia's military-industrial complex and aerospace sector. The facility had previously expanded its production capacity by opening a new large unit for manufacturing digital blocks and microwave modules used in radar systems.
In Perm, the strike hit the Perm oil refinery, which belongs to the company "Lukoil". The refinery processes more than 13 million tonnes of crude oil annually, making it one of the largest oil refineries in Russia. It produces a wide range of petroleum products, including automotive gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
These strikes followed a drone attack the previous night on occupied Luhansk, where a hypermarket was hit.
