House fire in Kohtla-Järve injures three children and a parent
A fire broke out in a private home in Kohtla-Järve's Järve district, injuring three children and one parent, all hospitalized with burns and smoke inhalation.

A fire broke out on the morning of October 2 in a private home in the Järve district of Kohtla-Järve, Estonia, injuring three children and one of their parents, the Rescue Board reported.
All four were taken to hospital with burns and respiratory tract damage caused by smoke.
The alert about the fire on Ehitajate Street reached the Alarm Centre's dispatcher at 8:38 a.m. By the time rescuers arrived, everyone who had been inside the two-story house had already made it outside on their own.
Paramedics examined all the residents and transported three children and one parent to the hospital.
Cat also rescued
Rescuers also carried a cat out of the house. The animal was given oxygen and subsequently recovered.
The fire was extinguished by 9:52 a.m. According to preliminary information, the blaze started on a sofa in the living room on the ground floor. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
The ground floor of the house sustained significant damage from smoke and soot.
