Canada: Driver reverses away from knife-wielding attacker while rescuing a man clinging to his car
In British Columbia, a photographer filming what he thought was a traffic dispute ended up reversing his car to safety with a man fleeing a knife attacker clinging to the door. Police arrested a 37-year-old man facing several serious charges.

A Canadian photographer, Robin Nubers, found himself unexpectedly at the center of a dramatic rescue while driving to a photo shoot in British Columbia.
Nubers noticed what appeared to be a collision between a pickup truck and an SUV. Assuming it was an ordinary traffic dispute, he slowed down and took out his phone to film the scene. The situation quickly turned alarming when people began shouting that one of the men involved had a knife.
Fleeing the attacker
Footage shows a barefoot man running desperately toward Nubers' Tesla, pleading for help. As the armed attacker closed in, the fleeing man grabbed onto the car's open rear door from the outside.
Realizing he needed to act immediately to save the man's life, Nubers put the car in reverse and drove backward for roughly 30 meters while the man held on to the door, until the vehicle reached a safe distance and the man was able to get inside.
Injuries and arrest
The victim suffered several injuries, including a cut and bleeding mouth, an injured eye, and cuts on his arm. Seeing he could not catch the car, the attacker fled into a nearby forest and threw the knife into bushes. He was arrested by police a few minutes later.
Canadian police confirmed that the arrested 37-year-old man faces multiple serious charges, including assault with a weapon, criminal harassment, and uttering threats.
Nubers said afterward that the incident tested his survival instincts, noting that in such situations, people can be surprised by what they are capable of.
