The international exhibition centre at Ķīpsala hosted the “Medbaltica” medical technology exhibition on September 24–25, an event that traditionally draws doctors, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and pharmaceutical specialists from across Latvia's regions. The exhibition is usually accompanied by conferences and seminars organized by various medical associations.

This year, healthcare representatives from Jelgava attended the event in notable numbers. One of the new additions this year was the first Baltic-wide physiotherapy congress, held alongside the exhibition. Specialists from Jelgava traveled to the congress to meet colleagues from other regions of Latvia, as well as from Lithuania and Estonia, and to gain new professional knowledge.

Jelgava clinic staff at the exhibition

Staff from the Rehabilitation Department of “Jelgavas klīnika” attended the exhibition on its opening day. They familiarized themselves with the latest trends, technologies and solutions currently available in healthcare and rehabilitation. According to the specialists, acquiring new knowledge and ideas, along with exchanging experience with other professionals in the field, is essential for providing patients with increasingly higher-quality and modern care in daily practice.

The clinic's cardiologist, Marina Kovaļova, also contributed to the exhibition, sharing educational and professional information on current issues in heart health.
