Google unveils Pixel 11 lineup with preorder gift cards up to $350
Google has officially launched its Pixel 11 phones and Pixel Watch 5, offering preorder buyers gift cards worth up to $350. Devices begin shipping on August 20th.
After weeks of leaks, Google has officially unveiled its newest generation of Pixel phones and watches. The base Pixel 11 starts at $899, while the Pro and Pro XL are priced at $1,099 and $1,299 respectively. The foldable Pro Fold starts at $1,899, and the Pixel Watch 5 comes in two sizes — a 41mm model starting at $399 and a 45mm model starting at $429. Preorders are open now, with shipping beginning August 20th.
Customers wanting an unlocked phone without a carrier plan can preorder through Best Buy, Amazon, or the Google Store, all of which run a similar promotion offering a gift card for a future purchase, with the amount depending on the model bought. The Pixel 11 comes with a $100 gift card, the Pro and Pro XL include a $200 card, and the Pro Fold includes a $350 card. Only Google specifies an end date for the offer, listed as August 27th. Buyers purchasing through Google can also apply the gift card toward a Pixel Watch 5 for an extra $50 in value, meaning Pro Fold buyers can get the base 41mm Pixel Watch 5 for free.
What's new
All four phones run on the new Tensor G6 chip, which Google says delivers 25 percent faster web browsing and 15 percent quicker app loading compared to the Tensor G5. Camera and video capabilities are a major focus this generation, highlighted by the new Magic Capture feature, which automatically stitches together photos and clips from a longer video recording. Every model also gets upgraded batteries and faster charging, including Qi2.2 wireless charging support up to 25W.
The Pixel Watch 5 gains a faster processor, more memory, and new fitness tools such as a workout builder and improved GPS accuracy in crowded areas. It also introduces long-term health monitoring features under the "Health Guardian" umbrella, capable of detecting certain medical emergencies, tracking blood pressure trends, and monitoring insulin resistance.
Carrier AT&T is offering several promotions for upgraders, including the chance to get a Pixel 11 Pro or Pro XL free over 36 months of bill credits when trading in any Pixel phone and maintaining a service plan of at least $80 per month.
