Lalique Museum in France Robbed – Exhibits Worth Millions of Euros Stolen
Thieves stole several dozen exhibits worth millions of euros from the Lalique Museum in Alsace, France, on Sunday. The robbers, wearing masks, broke down a door and fled without disabling the alarm, relying on speed.

On Sunday, the Lalique Museum in the Alsace region of France was robbed. The museum is located about 60 kilometers northwest of Strasbourg. The masked intruders smashed the building's door and made off with several dozen exhibits, with an estimated total value of several million euros. They did not attempt to disable the alarm system, relying on the speed of the heist.
The museum houses over 650 jewelry pieces in the Art Nouveau style, as well as glass and crystal works in the Art Deco style, created by jeweler and glassmaster René Lalique, who died in 1945, and members of his family.
Following the theft, the museum was closed for several days, and police have launched an investigation. In October 2025, France also saw the theft of its main museum, the Louvre. Since then, several suspects have been arrested, but none of the priceless stolen items have been returned to the museum.
