The Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) has announced that over the past weekend it was targeted by a sophisticated cyberattack. The attackers managed to gain partial access to the agency's IT system and unlawfully extracted historical data from payment receipts issued for services provided by CSDD.
What data was accessed
According to CSDD, the extracted data included certain personal details. These consisted of personal identification numbers or registration numbers, first and last names or company names, payment amounts, payment dates, vehicle registration plate numbers, and addresses.
