Chargepoly lands €23 million investment to drive heavy-duty fleet electrification
Chargepoly, a specialist in electrifying commercial vehicle fleets, has raised €23 million in a funding round led by Meridiam. The investment will support the company's efforts to accelerate the transition to electric heavy-duty transport.
Aix-en-Provence-based Chargepoly has secured €23 million in new investment to further its work in electrifying heavy-duty and commercial vehicle fleets. The funding round was led by Meridiam through its Meridiam Green Impact Growth Fund (MGIGF), with additional support from Fideve Groupe, a long-standing investor in the company.
Chargepoly focuses on developing solutions that enable the shift from diesel-powered trucks to electric alternatives. Heavy-duty fleets are among the hardest to decarbonise due to their high energy demands and challenging operational requirements. Chargepoly's offering aims to address these obstacles, helping fleet operators adopt cleaner technologies.
The investment comes at a time when the transport sector is under increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions. Electrification of commercial vehicles is seen as a key step towards meeting climate targets, and infrastructure for charging these large vehicles is a critical component. Chargepoly's work in this niche positions it as a player in the broader transition to sustainable logistics.
The participation of Fideve Groupe, which has supported Chargepoly for some time, indicates confidence in the company's trajectory. Meridiam, an established investor in green infrastructure, brings experience in funding projects with positive environmental impact. Through its MGIGF fund, Meridiam aims to support companies that contribute to a more sustainable economy.
The investment is intended to accelerate the electrification of heavy-duty fleets. The fresh capital is expected to enable Chargepoly to expand its reach and deliver its technology to a wider market.
The announcement underscores the growing interest from investors in fleet electrification solutions. As more countries introduce stricter emission standards, the demand for such technologies is likely to increase. Chargepoly's success in raising this round reflects the broader momentum behind the electrification of commercial transport.
