Czech club edges Swiss side in Champions Cup floorball quarterfinal overtime thriller
Brno's Bulldogs beat Switzerland's Zug United 5:3 in overtime in women's floorball Champions Cup quarterfinal action, advancing to the semifinal on aggregate.

In the women's floorball Champions Cup quarterfinal, Czech club Bulldogs Brno faced Swiss side Zug United for a spot in the semifinal. Since Zug United had won the first leg 3:2 on home ice, Bulldogs needed a regulation win in the second leg to force the tie-breaking format into overtime.
Bulldogs came out firing and built a 2:0 lead in the first period, with goals from Lota Najsrova and Barbora Janosova. In the second period, Janosova struck again to make it 3:0, before Izabella Geriga and Pavlina Bačova answered for the visitors to cut the gap to 3:2.
Late surge and overtime
Early in the third period, Bačova scored her second goal of the game, extending the home side's lead to 5:1. However, Zug United rallied late, with goals from Martina Repkova and Laila Ediza narrowing the deficit to 5:3 by the final minute — enough to secure the result needed to send the tie to overtime under the series' aggregate format.
Just 20 seconds into overtime, Bulldogs were reduced to a man down. Playing on the power play, Zug United created several dangerous chances before Denisa Ratajova scored the decisive goal, sealing a overtime win for the Swiss club and sending them through to the Champions Cup semifinal.
Janosova was the top performer for Bulldogs with two goals, while Bačova and Najsrova each contributed two points. For Zug United, Geriga led the way with a goal and an assist.
