In Riga's Ķengarags district, a driver of a Bolt Drive minibus ended up in an unusual situation: after taking a turn, he found his vehicle pointing against the direction of traffic.

To get out of the predicament, the driver went onto a green area and drove back and forth across the lawn until he finally entered a smaller driveway. He apparently hoped nobody would notice. However, a person who happened to be sitting in a traffic jam saw the incident and filmed it. The footage later appeared on the 360TV programme "Sadursme 360".

The company's response

Representatives of Bolt said they had not seen the video beforehand and thanked the person who drew attention to the violation. According to the company, it contacts the user concerned when necessary and issues a warning, while in cases of repeated or serious violations it may restrict access to the service.

The company checked information about the previous day's trips, identified the user and has already issued a warning. Edvīns Kažoks, head of Bolt Drive in Latvia, said that if police need additional information to assess the incident, the company is ready to cooperate.
