At 84, Harrison Ford Returns to the Role of Indiana Jones
At age 84, actor Harrison Ford will once again portray Indiana Jones, this time for a new Disney attraction at the Animal Kingdom park. He served as the model for the character's animatronic figure.

Actor Harrison Ford, now 84, is once again linked to his iconic character Indiana Jones — this time through a new attraction at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom park, called "Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent."
Ford announced the news himself in a video message shown at a Disney fan event, revealing that he became the model for an animatronic version of the character for the first time in his career.
With his characteristic humor, the actor added that the animatronic Indiana Jones would also feature the character's trademark fear of snakes.
A decades-long role
Harrison Ford first played Indiana Jones in 1981 in "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Since then, he has reprised the role in four more films, keeping his connection to the character alive for more than four decades.
This past March, Ford received the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. At the time, he joked that he was receiving the honor "in the middle of his career," noting that he is still an actively working actor.
