Zutis wins MMA bout by technical knockout and meets Briedis in the ring
Latvian fighter Zutis beat Britain's Clark Morris by technical knockout within the first minute at the "KOK 129" fight show on 17 October. Afterwards Mairis Briedis climbed into the ring; the two have been trading barbs in public in recent days.

Fighter Zutis won a mixed martial arts (MMA) bout under MMA rules at the "KOK 129" fight show on the evening of 17 October, defeating Britain's Clark Morris by technical knockout in the very first minute. The win follows a defeat last month and drew attention well beyond the bout itself.
In September, at the "Bazara 0" fight show, Zutis faced Kaspars Kambala and lost in the first round. This time the fight was over almost at once, but the most interesting part, according to the source, came afterwards: Mairis Briedis stepped into the ring. Zutis and Briedis had exchanged public "pleasantries" over the previous few days, and social media users are already asking whether Zutis's next fight could be against Briedis. The source offers no confirmation of that.
Other results on the card
Beatrise Rozentāle, Stass Makarenko and Ralfs Vilcāns also won. Vilcāns's opponent, Giorgijs Umekašvili, did not come out for the third round.
Jaroslavs Rezebergs defeated Taurs Balsis, while Nikijs Kurpnieks proved stronger than Semjons Kamaņins. The bout between Igors Trošins and Raitis Helmanis also ended early: Trošins was declared the winner because a serious cut opened on Helmanis's forehead and the fight could not continue.
