"Golden Microphone" laureates gather at Zuzeum
Past winners of the "Golden Microphone" music award met at the Zuzeum art centre in Riga for a jury panel discussion and a film premiere.

The Zuzeum art centre in Riga hosted a reunion of laureates of the "Golden Microphone" music award, bringing together past winners for an event focused on the competition's history and its path forward.
As part of the gathering, members of the award's jury took part in a panel discussion covering how the evaluation process behind the "Golden Microphone" has evolved over the years, what changes it has undergone, and what the future might hold for the award. The conversation offered a behind-the-scenes look at how jury decisions are made and what matters most for the competition going forward.
The evening also included a cinematic component: at 18:40, the second part of the film "30 Years of Latvian Music" had its premiere. This installment covers the period from 2006 to 2016 and forms part of a broader documentary project chronicling the development of Latvia's popular music scene across several decades.
The event brought together laureates and industry figures in one place, offering a chance to look back on past achievements and reflect on the award's role in Latvia's musical life. Photographs from the event were taken by Ģirts Ozoliņš.
