Zelenskyy Reports Talks Between Umerov and Trump's Son-in-Law, Awaiting His Visit to Ukraine
President Zelenskyy said that over the past two days, talks took place between Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. He hopes for Kushner and Trump envoy Steve Witkoff to visit Ukraine, and for a meeting with Trump at the NATO summit in Ankara.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a statement at the site of a Russian strike in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, revealing that over the past two days, talks had taken place between National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov and former US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. This information was reported by European Pravda, citing The Guardian.
Zelenskyy expressed hope that Kushner and Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff would still visit Ukraine, despite the fact that US-backed peace efforts have been stalled for several months. He also voiced a desire to meet with Trump at the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, next week.
Earlier, at the end of June, Donald Trump stated that Zelenskyy is "doing pretty well" in the war against Russia. The US State Department also noted that Ukraine currently has an advantage in the war.
