Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of attacking a Ukrainian power plant and other energy facilities. The accusation came after US President Donald Trump said an "energy ceasefire" between the two warring sides was in effect.

According to Zelenskyy, Russian President Vladimir Putin has therefore already broken the truce. In Kyiv's assessment, the arrangement Trump described, under which energy infrastructure would be spared from attacks, is not holding in practice.

Strikes on energy facilities are a recurring theme of the war in Ukraine, and the accusation raises questions about how credible the announced truce is and whether both sides are observing it.

The source does not say which power plant was hit, how much damage was caused or whether there were casualties. It also does not include any response from the Russian side to the accusation.
